Almost a year ago to the day, a then potential author Marianne Stewart, myself and Michael, hatched a plan to do a test shoot, we prepped and propped and we opened our home to someone I’d met just once to stay and create the recipes for this shoot. We had a great few days and I loved Marianne’s creative bakes and the images we made. I sent her the pictures for her pitch and then promptly forgot about the whole thing.
Six weeks later Marianne had a book deal! And I was to photograph it and both Michael and I were to prop and style it! We shot it in May in Bristol and fast forward to December, we held a preview copy of the book from the first print run.
So today, the 11th January the book is available to order online and buy in places where good books are sold! I still can’t quite get over how this happened but photographing a book was a huge goal of mine and I love how this tangible thing now exists because of a 20 minute or so initial conversation. Needless to say, I’m really proud to have been involved in this project and even though it’s coming from me, Marianne is super talented her bakes are amazing and I’m so grateful that I was allowed to photograph it and that Michael & I styled this. Thank you Marianne & Quadrille x
I’d love you to buy a copy of the book of course, BUT I also have a copy to give away – head over to my Instagram feed for details how to enter!
